Biography
I completed my MSci in Ecology and Conservation at Lancaster University in 2023, where I investigated bi-parental care behaviours in blue tits and the impacts of noise disturbance on waders and waterfowl in the Morecambe Bay and Duddon Estuary SPA.
Upon graduating, I worked as an ecologist, where I conducted protected species surveys for bats, badgers, newts, water vole and otter, and breeding and wintering birds.
I began my PhD with Dr Victoria Franks and Dr Amy Leedale in September 2025, where I am investigating the impact of age and conservation management on breeding decisions and social structure in a threatened New Zealand songbird (the hihi).
