Biography
Ganiyu Ode is a Doctoral Researcher in Facilities Management at the Â׸£ÀûƬ, where he also earned his MSc in Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. A highly accomplished Project Management professional with over 20 years of experience, Ganiyu specializes in the oversight of complex infrastructure, technical contract management, and strategic facilities operations within international contexts.
His professional trajectory includes senior roles such as Facilities Management Officer for the United Nations Support Office in Somalia and Facilities Manager for the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited. His expertise spans the full construction lifecycle, from feasibility and technical design to sustainability integration and financial control.
Ganiyu holds a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Liverpool and a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is a multi-certified expert, holding a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP®, and PRINCE2® practitioner status, alongside being a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Canada and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE). His research interests at Salford focus on the intersection of facilities management, operational efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure development.
