Biography
I am an early career researcher with a developing profile in Sport Rehabilitation, specialising in MSK injuries, hamstring flexibility, and game‑based learning/technology‑enhanced education. My academic journey has been shaped by a commitment to improving both clinical understanding and student learning experiences. I currently have one paper under review and have begun building my research portfolio through small‑scale funded projects, including work as Co‑PI on an outreach initiative at the University of Hull promoting sport programmes through creative digital media.
In my current role as a Teaching and Learning Fellow on the Sport Rehabilitation programme, I contribute to curriculum development, evidence‑informed teaching, and pedagogic innovation. As quality and assessment lead for Sport Rehabilitation I work with the wider team, developing rubric‑based assessment approaches to enhance consistency and support student progression. As I continue to build my research trajectory, I remain focused on producing meaningful work that advances practice and enriches the student experience.
Areas of Research
My research interests focus on the interplay between hamstring flexibility, neurodynamics and lower‑limb function, with particular interest in how neural mobility and soft‑tissue extensibility influence movement efficiency and injury risk. Alongside my clinical interests, I explore game‑based learning and technology‑enhanced pedagogy in higher education, examining how interactive and digital approaches can improve engagement, skill acquisition and assessment within Sport Rehabilitation. Looking ahead, I aim to develop this pedagogic strand further by undertaking a PhD focused on higher‑education learning and teaching.

Aiming to pursue a PhD via publication to explore game-based learning and technology enhanced pedagogy in higher education.
I teach across both undergraduate and postgraduate Sport Rehabilitation programmes, with primary responsibilities including Clinical Skills and Applied Human Form and Function at undergraduate level, and Injury Assessment and Rehabilitation 1 for MSc students. My teaching approach is grounded in evidence‑informed practice and emphasises active, practical learning, with a particular interest in game‑based learning and technology‑enhanced pedagogy to support engagement and skill development. As Quality and Assessment Lead for Rehabilitation, I work with the wider team to design and refine rubric‑based assessments that enhance consistency, transparency and student progression. I also contribute to curriculum development and the integration of innovative teaching strategies across the programme.
