Biography

Andrew Hammocks is a sport scientist by background, specialising in biomechanics. He studied an integrated masters in Sport and Exercise Science with Professional Placement (MSci (Hons), University of Bath), with a master's dissertation on 'The Effect of Fatigue on Joint Kinematics from Running to Exhaustion'. He is currently completing an industry-funded PhD at the Â׸£ÀûƬ in collaboration with On AG titled 'Mapping the Motor Development of Children's Real-World Movement and Methodological Implications for Industry Footwear Testing'.

Andrew is a PGR student representative for the School of Health and Society, and leads the PGR Peer Support group.

Teaching

Lectured and led practical sessions on 'Biomechanical Considerations in Running Shoe Design' as part of the 'Biomechanics & Skill Acquisition' final year module of BSc (Hons) Sports Science.
