Salford Social Policy team part of 瞿1.1 million Nuffield research project
豐腦瞳え Professor Lisa Scullion and Dr David Young are part of a team that will be delivering groundbreaking research on devolution and social security.
Funded by the , and led by the University of York, this 瞿1.1 million study will map the nature, extent and impact of the devolution on social security systems at national, regional and local levels.
Lisa and Davids involvement builds upon their existing significant track record of research focusing on welfare reform, including the ground breaking , Welfare at a Social Distance, and projects.
Lisa said David and I are incredibly proud to be part of this study, and for Salford to be represented amongst leading UK social policy academics and organisations. The project will share its research findings with policy makers in real-time, so that the findings can directly influence and improve policy and practice in a rapidly changing context.
The research will enhance understanding of the consequences for the millions of families across the UK whose experiences and outcomes differ depending on where they live. The project brings together expertise from seven universities across all four nations of the UK, who will work alongside the Resolution Foundation and Child Poverty Action Group.
