 is the brainchild of Salford born Ryan Deane and Jack Glennon. Their aim is to explore behind the scenes of the sports industry and highlight the hardworking people who help make those key sporting moments and events happen. Ryan and Jack do this through written content and audio interviews with plans for video content in the future.

Among the dozens and dozens of people profiled so far are , a Sports Rehabilitator at Premier League club Wolves, , a Presenter for Sky Sports and , Social Media Executive for McLaren F1. Behind Sport is developing a good presence on social media and has tens of thousands of page views so far.

Ryan graduated from BSc (Hons) Professional Sound and Video Technology course at Salford, before doing a Masters in Digital Marketing at the Salford Business School. He previously worked at the �׸���Ƭ as Film Project Officer for the Class of ’92 partnership and Salford Business School, he currently works for Salford City FC as Media and Marketing Manager.

Ryan said: “I’ve always wanted to work in sport, and I’m fascinated with what goes on behind the scenes. The platform was created to tell the stories of sport industry professionals and give them the recognition they deserve. It’s an in-depth look at all different types of roles across the industry, we’ve featured CEOs, Media Managers, Sport Rehabilitators, Graphic Designers, Directors & Founders and so much more.

“Anyone who is interested in a career in sport will find it invaluable, but any sports fan would find something of interest on our website too, we think it’s pretty unique. We have plans to develop Behind Sport further, we believe we can help people navigate the sport industry and find their way in a hugely competitive industry.”
